Krispy Kreme pins hopes on ice cream

USA Today: Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is pinning its hopes on a turnaround plan that includes launching soft-serve ice cream as well as opening smaller stores and expanding overseas.
Industry watchers say it may not be enough to help the chain climb out of its hole, especially in light of trends toward healthier eating.
