November 12, 2013

Krispy Kreme has signed an agreement with North to Alaska LLC for the development of four Krispy Kreme shops in Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley throughout the next three years.

North to Alaska is led by Jack Lewis. The company has more than 25 years of restaurant experience.

"We are delighted to welcome our newest domestic franchise partner," said Patricia Perry, VP, Domestic Franchise Development at Krispy Kreme. "They possess a thorough knowledge of the Alaskan marketplace and culture, and are committed both to growing with us and sharing the joy of Krispy Kreme with Alaskan doughnut and coffee fans."

"My partners and I look forward to turning on the very first Hot Doughnuts Now sign in Alaska," Lewis added.

Krispy Kreme currently has more than 240 shops in the U.S., of which approximately 150 are franchised. Additionally, the company has over 540 locations in 22 countries outside the U.S., all of which are franchised.

North to Alaska LLC is based in Anchorage. Lewis founded and currently operates Sourdough Mining Company Restaurant, Peanut Farm Sports Grill, McGinley's Irish Pub, and two Firetap Alehouse locations in Alaska.
