Krispy Kreme promotes chairman to CEO

The Associated Press:Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. has named chairman James H. Morgan president and chief executive, replacing Daryl G. Brewster, who resigned for personal reasons.
Brewster will stay with Krispy Kreme until the end of January and will help with Morgan's transition, the company said. Morgan will remain chairman, a position he has held since January 2005.
