Krystal celebrating Groundhog Day with LTO Shrimp Po' Boy

In the hopes that spring is around the corner, Krystal restaurants announced a limited-time-offer for this year's Groundhog Day results. On Feb. 2, Punxsutawney Phil, the weather-predicting groundhog, will pop his head out of his hole for the 217th time since 1887. On that day, he'll either see his shadow, indicating six more weeks of winter, or he won't see his shadow, signaling an early spring. If Phil sees his shadow, Krystal guests can receive one free Shrimp Po' Boy with purchase. If the groundhog does not see his shadow, then guests can enjoy two free Shrimp Po' Boys with purchase, according to a company press release. The Shrimp Po' Boy is a limited-time offering at Krystal.

"Our Shrimp Po' Boy makes everything better — even and maybe especially if that's six more weeks of Winter," said Alice Crowder, vice president of marketing for Krystal. "That's why we're offering the extra sandwich if the groundhog sees his shadow. On the other hand, Shrimp Po' Boy also happens to be a great way to celebrate the arrival of an early Spring. So, it's a win-win for our guests."

The free Po' Boy offer will be available on Feb. 2 only and may not be combined with other offers or coupons. Offer may not be available in all stores. Limit one free giveaway per order.
