Chattanooga Times Free Press: Because the Krystal brand is so intertwined with its iconic sandwich, the company has been wary of items that appear inconsistent with it. Yet, there have been some — the B.A. Burger, for example, or salads.

Little toast sandwiches, a lineup of slushy drinks and a Cajun breakfast scrambler are some of the things being tested in the Krystal Co. test kitchen.
