Krystal announced participating restaurants will offer a free small bowl of chili tomorrow with the purchase any full-priced combo meal. Tomorrow is the official first day of winter.

"Nothing warms a person like meaty, slightly spicy chili, full of beans and rich flavor," said Alice Crowder, VP of marketing for Krystal. "We think it works great as an appetizer, as a side dish, or as a snack any time of the day."

Crowder further explained the free chili offering came up as an idea during last year's cold weather. "Even here in Atlanta (Krystal's headquarters), we have nasty weather and icy conditions," she said. "Those are the days we're all thinking about a piping hot bowl of chili and a couple of Krystals to dunk into it!"
