Krystal owner names new VP, principal

April 10, 2012

Argonne Capital Group LLC, the private investment firm that purchased the Krystal Company last month, has named Layton Grisette as a principal and Bill Weimar as a vice president.

Grisette will be focused on new acquisitions and portfolio management, including oversight of the Krystal Company.

Weimar's responsibilities will include evaluating new acquisition opportunities, in addition to supporting the firm's existing investments in more than 350 IHOP, Applebee's, and Stevi B's Pizza restaurant locations.

"We are very excited about Layton and Bill joining the Argonne team. Their collective experience in sourcing and executing new investments coupled with a track record of hands-on portfolio management experience make them an excellent addition as our firm looks to expand its investment portfolio," said Michael Klump, president and founder of Argonne Capital.

Prior to joining Argonne, Grisette spent five-plus years with Arcapita Inc., in its Private Equity and Infrastructure business lines working with companies ranging from retail to power generation. Earlier in his career, he served in business development and valuation roles with The Home Depot and Deloitte. Grisette holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Weimar joins Argonne after two years at Arcapita Inc., where he assisted with acquisitions, refinancing and portfolio management in a variety of sectors including retail, logistics and energy. He was previously in the Leveraged Finance group at Banc of America Securities. Weimar graduated from Vanderbilt University earning a BA in Economics.
