Krystal plans 10K burger giveaway to showcase new product

The Krystal Company is going on tour to celebrate its new Stackers, a bigger version of its signature burgers introduced last month. The chain plans to give away 1,000 burgers to fans in 10 cities throughout the Southeast via its Krystal Crave Cruiser food truck.

The truck will travel more than 2,000 miles, from Atlanta to Orlando, to introduce people to the new Stacker line.

“Stackers are a great new taste experience that we wanted to share — and in a big way,” CEO Doug Pendergast said in a news release. “With double the flavor, served piping hot and, during the great Stackers Taste Tour, completely free, we know they’ll gain quite a following.”

The tour kicks off today in Atlanta, then heads north to Chattanooga, Tenn., Tuesday, with additional stops in Tennessee, Alabama and Florida through June 21. The tour won’t end until the team has given away 10,000 Stackers.
