Chattanooga (Tenn.) Times Free Press: Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Krystal Co. had a record year for revenue and profits in 2007, officials said. The 75-year old privately-held fast-food chain, which had sales of $440 million, increased operating profits by 10 percent and grew average unit volume by 4 percent in 2007.
President and CEO Fred Exum attributed the boost to several recently enacted initiatives, including table service at restaurants, drive-thru improvements and an employee rewards program.
