Krystal to launch first QSR branded energy drink

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Krystal Co. will launch the new Krystal Blitz energy drink in all Krystal restaurants systemwide Monday, the company has announced.
Available on the rocks or frozen, the Krystal Blitz is the quick-service industry's first ever branded energy drink. Served in a 20-ounce cup, the Krystal Blitz is made-to-order either on ice or frozen. Both options feature a carbonated beverage with a Lemon Berry flavor and natural ingredients and enhancements such as green tea extract and caffeine.
The on the rocks Krystal Blitz will be sold for a suggested price of $1.99. The Frozen Krystal Blitz will be sold for a suggested price of $2.49.
The Krystal Blitz is just one of many new Krystal products to be announced this year. Items already introduced include a variety of original Krystal Freeze and MilkQuake flavors, the Bar-B-Q Bacon and Cheese Big Angus Burger, the Chili Cheese Big Angus Burger, Sweet Bites, the French Toast Sandwich, Hashbrown CasseRolls and the $5 Value Meal.
