Layne's Chicken Fingers to open in Pittsburgh

Texas-based Layne's Chicken Fingers will open a location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by the end of the year, according to a press release.

The unit is under the helm of 3E Franchise, who is on track to open their fourth restaurant by the end of the year.

"3E Franchise has selected a great site for his new restaurant," Samir Wattar, chief operating officer for Layne's, said in the release. "Layne's is a great fit for the Bloomfield/Shadyside community in Pittsburgh, and we look forward to bringing our iconic crispy fingers and laid-back, guest-focused atmosphere to the area."

This location will be Layne's third restaurant in the Pittsburgh area. The brand recently opened a unit in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Layne's has 20 restaurants open and another 226 sold. The brand was founded in 1994 in College Station, Texas.
