Little Caesars and Flytrex have partnered to expand drone delivery services with the introduction of a new aircraft capable of transporting meals for an entire family, according to a press release.

Powered by the new Sky2 drone, the service allows customers to receive two large pizzas and sodas in a single flight. The companies said the Sky2 can carry up to 8.8 pounds, the largest capacity of any food delivery drone currently available.

"Flytrex is laser-focused on making on-demand food delivery by drone a reality for everyday families," Amit Regev, CEO and co-founder of Flytrex, said in the press release. "Until now, drones simply weren't capable of delivering a full family meal. The Sky2 changes that."

The service is now live at a Little Caesars location in Wylie, Texas, featuring a direct integration with the chain's ordering systems. With a range of up to four miles, orders arrive in an average of 4.5 minutes from takeoff to delivery.

"Innovation at Little Caesars has always been driven by one thing — making it easier for customers to enjoy our pizza," Trish Heusel, vice president of innovation at Little Caesars, added in the press release.

The Sky2 can deliver two large pizzas along with sides like Crazy Puffs and Crazy Bread and 20-ounce drinks. The partnership follows a year of growth for Flytrex, which recently secured investment from Uber, partnered with DoorDash and Wing, and received FAA approval for beyond visual line of sight operations.
