Long John Silver's acquires 75 locations from franchisee

Bob Ruckriegel, owner of ServUs, which operates 75 Long John Silver locations in Indiana, has sold his units back to the company. This acquisition grows the brand's company-owned stores to 200 restaurants and includes the addition of the ServUS operations team, according to a company press release.

"This brand holds a special place in my heart and we're very proud of the work we've put into these restaurants for the last 49 years," Ruckriegel said in the release. "I know these restaurants and the team running them are in great hands."

The units will undergo renovations like many of Long John Silver stores in order to have a more modern look.
