Long John Silver's has introduced Big Catch; a wild-caught Haddock three times the size in weight of the brand's signature whitefish. The offering is the largest fish ever available at the chain, and is sold as part of a basket meal for $4.99.
"The Big Catch is a big menu item for Long John Silver's not just in size but also in value," said Charles St. Clair, chief marketing officer. "It's the largest fish we have ever offered weighing in at 7-8 ounces of 100 percent premium Haddock caught in the icy waters of the North Atlantic."
The $4.99 basket will include the Big Catch, a choice of a side and hush puppies. Other meal options include a combo with a drink or a platter with two sides, two hush puppies and four large shrimp.
The premium batter-dipped Big Catch will be offered in Long John Silver's restaurants nationwide through July 2013, or while supplies last. Long John Silver's will announce the item to customers through a national advertising campaign that kicked off last week and includes print, TV, outdoor and social media.
