With Lent a little less than two weeks away, seafood-centered brand, Long John Silver's is already geared up and ready for the Christian holiday that finds many of the faithful switching from their usual meat-centered diets to seafood. In fact, one of the suppliers of seafood and other goods to the restaurant industry, Gordon Food Service, said on its website that a survey by Lifeway Research shows that 24% of consumers make the meat-to-seafood shift during Lent annually.
This year at Long John Silver's beginning Monday, the brand is offering All You Can Eat fried fish, chicken and sides starting at $7.99, through Feb. 25.
Then at the start of Lent on Feb. 26, the brand is offering:
"We're excited to kick off the Lenten season with so many seafood options for our guests," said CMO Stephanie Mattingly in the release. "And, with delivery available from nearly half of our stand-alone and Long John Silver's/A&W restaurants, we're making the unique seafood experience from the coasts more accessible to guests from sea to mouth-watering sea."
Long John Silver's now has nearly 800 franchised restaurants nationwide and new delivery options in nearly half of its locations.
