Marco's Pizza has signed a three-unit area development agreement to expand its presence in New Mexico, with the first location scheduled to open this summer, according to a press release.

The initial restaurant is set to open in July at 3835 East Lohman Ave. in Las Cruces. The expansion is led by entrepreneur Yiris Hallal through Hall Foods LLC, a family owned business operated alongside his brother, David Hallal, and his daughter, Daniela Hallal.

"This agreement represents an exciting opportunity to continue building the Marco's brand in new territories," Gerardo Flores, chief development officer of Marco's Pizza, said in the press release. "As we expand, we're focused on growing awareness, strengthening our presence in key markets and partnering with operators who can help establish the brand locally and support long-term, sustainable growth across the Southwest."

Yiris Hallal, who has a background in the technology and security infrastructure sectors, will oversee the development while Daniela Hallal serves as the general manager for the Las Cruces location. The development group is currently evaluating additional sites for the remaining two units, with plans to look further into Las Cruces and potentially Albuquerque.

"Franchising with Marco's gives us the advantage of a strong operational playbook," Yiris Hallal said in the press release. "We're stepping into a system designed for efficiency and scalability, while still maintaining ownership of how we grow the business. Being part of the brand's expansion in New Mexico is something we're really excited about."

Marco's Pizza operates more than 1,200 stores in 35 states with locations in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and Mexico.
