Marco's Pizza inks franchise agreement for 15 locations in Midwest

Marco's Pizza has signed a development agreement with Grube, Inc. to open 15 Marco's locations in northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana. The deal also includes the resale of nine existing Marco's locations in northwest Ohio, according to a press release.

Grube, Inc. is a multi-unit franchise group led by Steve Grube. The company operates 67 Buffalo Wild Wings locations across eight states and one Rusty Taco location. Grube cited Marco's reputation for quality and its existing presence in the region as factors in the agreement.

"I have the utmost confidence in this new journey with Marco's Pizza, as our team is committed to upholding the traditions of quality products, fresh ingredients, and a tight-knit community that makes Marco's so special," Steve Grube, president of Grube, Inc., said in the release. "This deal marks a significant milestone for the Grube team as we enter the pizza market and expand our portfolio to reach more than 75 units, while deepening our footprint in the Midwest."

Marco's, prioritizing multi-unit growth, sees the agreement as a key step in its development goals. "In alignment with our development strategy for multi-unit growth, this signed agreement puts Marco's on the fast track to reaching our growth goals," Gerardo Flores, CDO of Marco's Pizza, said in the release. "The Grube team is a remarkable addition to the Marco's team as they have a proven track record of elevating other brands in their portfolio. We look forward to watching them foster sustained growth in new and existing markets."

Marco's development support includes real estate, construction and operational guidance for franchisees.

Marco's Pizza operates 1,200 stores in 34 states with locations in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
