Forbes: Shares of fast-food companies mostly rose after McDonald's Corp. reported its global same-store sales grew 7.7 percent. Investors and analysts saw it as a sign that consumers are still willing to spend at fast-food chains.
Same-store sales results at McDonald's have been closely watched by investors and analysts in the past few months as a barometer for whether strapped consumers still are spending their dollars on fast food.
