McDonald's adds chicken strips after 5-year disappearance

McDonald's is bringing chicken strips back to its menu as of May 5 after a five-year disappearance.

The all-white-meat chicken was the brand's last permanent menu item, according to a press release.

The brand is also kicking off Creamy Chili dip.

"The demand for chicken strips has been remarkable to see across the industry, so we knew we had to deliver something so craveable that it was worth the wait. We took our time, listened to our fans and created a product we knew they would crave," Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald's, said in the release.
