McDonald's adds unusual side dish in Thailand

As a potato shortage causes some QSRs to rethink French fries as a side dish, McDonald's is thinking outside the French fry box. The brand is offering Japanese curry rice, but not in Japan. It's available in Thailand, according to a report in The Street.

The Japanese curry rice comes in two varieties: the first is a Japanese Curry Rice Fried Chicken at $2.42 and the second is a Curry Rice Fried Chicken with egg at $2.96.
