McDonald's Canada returns Shamrock Shake

TORONTO — McDonald's Canada has announced the return of the Shamrock Shake. For a limited time beginning Feb. 26, the Shamrock Shake — with a sweet, minty taste and Irish-green color — will be available in participating McDonald's restaurants across the country.

Not seen in Canada for more than five years, the Shamrock Shake has gained an almost cult-like following. In recent years, enthusiasts have begun banding together online with dedicated Web sites, blogs and fan groups, discussing the nostalgia and taste of the shake and pleading for its return.

Also making an appearance is McDonaldland character Uncle O'Grimacey, the uncle of Grimace who visits his nephew in March.
