McDonald's latest ploy to get people to try McNuggets had a high-brow offer. The Chicago-based burger brand released McNugget Caviar featuring Kits Baerii Sturgeon caviar on Tuesday, Feb. 10 and the kits sold out almost instantly, according to a Today report.
McD's teamed up with Paramount Caviar to offer the kits, which included a one-ounce tin of McNugget Caviar, a $25 gift card to order Chicken McNuggets, plus crème fraîche and a Mother of Pearl caviar spoon, for one day only.
"What makes this pairing so iconic? The crispy, golden goodness of our signature McNuggets and the salty, savory, black pearls of Paramount's Baerii Sturgeon caviar make for a true match made in heaven for the special occasions in life," stated a press release.
McDonald's has approximately 13,500 U.S. restaurants.
