McDonald's has asked corporate employees to work from home Monday through Wednesday and has shut down its corporate office as it prepares for layoffs as part of a company restructuring, according a Wall Street Journal report.
Staffing decisions will be made virtually, but it is unknown how many are expected to be laid off this week, the report said.
"During the week of April 3, we will communicate key decisions related to roles and staffing levels across the organization," the Chicago-based burger company said in a company message viewed by the Journal.
