McDonald's CMO Dillon leaves to lead U.S. Cellular

McDonald's Corp. is shopping for a new global chief marketing officer as U.S. Cellular Corp. announces Mary N. Dillon is its new president and CEO. Dillon was executive vice president and global CMO for McDonald's since 2005, where she led worldwide marketing efforts and global brand strategy.
Her accomplishments include the formation of the company's first Global Moms Advisory Panel and innovation in the area of children's well-being. She has also driven marketing effectiveness through increased diversification of media mix and use of tools to improve return on marketing spend. In addition, she led the holistic activation of the company's sports and entertainment properties, including the creation of the McDonald's Champion Kids program for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Most recently, Dillon outlined to franchisees how the company plans to make its "I'm Lovin' It" slogan more relevant.
Prior to joining McDonald's, Dillon was president of the Quaker Foods division of PepsiCo Corp.
