McDonald's comps continue growth trend

OAK BROOK, Ill. — Global comparable-store states for McDonald's Corp. rose 8.4 percent in June and 7.4 percent in the second quarter ended June 30, the company announced.
Systemwide sales for McDonald's restaurants worldwide increased 12.5 percent for June and 11.4 percent for the quarter.
Comparable sales in the United States rose 4.2 percent in June. In Europe, comps rose 11.1 percent, and comps in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa rose 12.1 percent.
McDonald's plans to release second-quarter results before the market opens July 24. The company plans to release July sales on Aug. 8.
