McDonald's Corp. had a global comparable sales growth of 7 percent in July, buoyed by a 10.1 percent increase in the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa segment.
The surge was mostly attributed to strong breakfast and value menu sales in Japan, Australia and China.
Additionally, sales in the U.S. were up 5.7 percent with momentum coming from the recently launched McCafe real fruit smoothies and frappes.
In Europe, numbers were up 5.3 percent. Many European restaurants are currently undergoing modern renovations, which contributed to the sales growth, in addition to unique menu offerings.
