October 23, 2007
UPPER DARBY, Pa. — On Oct. 29 from about 2:30-3:30 p.m., Philadelphia 76ers basketball players Andre Iguodala, Louis Amundson, Samuel Dalembert, Rodney Carney, Calvin Booth and Herbert Hill will go behind the counter at McDonald's, serving as the celebrity crew for a fundraiser to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia region.
Customers who visit the restaurant, located at 1891 South State Road in Upper Darby, Pa., will be encouraged to donate to the charity and will receive a coupon (while supplies last) good for a free McDonald's sandwich in the month of November.
The event is part of the Philadelphia 76ers' "Random Acts of Kindness Day," aimed at giving back to the local community. McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia region will donate $760 to the charity in the celebrity crew's name.
