McDonald's will expand its plant-based sandwich, the McPlant, to 600 locations in the San Francisco Bay and Dallas markets beginning Feb. 14, according to a CNBC report.

The sandwich was created in conjunction with Beyond Meat and began testing in eight restaurants in November. The McPlant will be available in the expanded San Francisco and Dallas markets for a limited time.

The McPlant is made from plant-based ingredients like peas, rice and potatoes. The patty is served with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and a slice of American cheese on a sesame seed bun.

The McPlant burger has already been available in some international markets like Sweden, Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands and the UK. A different plant-based burger was tested in Canada for a short time in September 2019.
