McDonald's expects to post rare loss

LA Times: McDonald's Corp. said this week it expects to post a loss of 60 cents a share for the second quarter as the result of the sale of some of the company's Latin American operations. McDonald's only other quarterly loss since it went public more than 50 years ago was during the fourth quarter of 2002.
