McDonald's franchisee in Germany tests delivery

A McDonald's franchisee in Germany tested delivery service for one day last week during an event called Crazy Saturday. According to The Local, Christian Eckstein, head of the Systemgastronomie franchise group, hired 20 drivers for the day-long test.

Plans are not in place to rollout delivery throughout the country, although customers have inquired about expanding the service.

A company spokesperson said individual franchisees can choose to include delivery. McDonald's restaurants in Asia and Egypt feature delivery, and some metropolitan areas in the U.S. have also tested the service.
