McDonald's franchisee to hand out turkeys for Thanksgiving

A McDonald's franchisee in Syracuse, New York, will hand out gift certificates from a local grocery store for customers to pick up a holiday turkey up to 14 pounds. The giveaway will be held on Nov. 9, according to a CNYCentral report.

And it's not just turkeys owner Grant Kemmerer will be giving away. He'll also be handing out stuffing and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, as well as McDonald's gift cards.

"In the spirit of giving back, we are so thrilled to be able to provide holiday meals to our community!" Kemmerer told the news outlet. "We are thankful for our neighbors and those who make up our thriving community and want to make sure they know we are in the holiday spirit here!"
