McDonald's this week announced that the iconic chain is going all in for breakfast all day. Beginning in September, customers can order any item from the chain's breakfast offerings any time of day at all U.S. locations.
Since last October, most McDonald's restaurants have offered all-day McMuffin and biscuit sandwiches, and come this September, customers can also order the new McGriddles features all day long. According to a press release, both changes result from customer feedback, which made it very clear that McDonald's patrons want to start their day under the golden arches, whether their day starts at 8 a.m. or 8 p.m.
All-day offerings to be added late this summer include McGriddles with eggs, cheese and sausage; hotcakes; sausage burritos; oatmeal; fruit and yogurt parfaits; and hashbrowns.
Additionally, the chain said that its 16,000 stores in North America are not only switching from the use of margarine to real butter, but are also transitioning to the use of eggs exclusively from hens raised in cage-free environments. The latter shift will take place over the next nine years.
