McDonald's Happy Meal turns 30

OAK BROOK, Ill. — McDonald's is celebrating the 30th birthday of its kids Happy Meal with a summer-long celebration, the company has announced.
The fun includes McDonald's search for the "Happiest Cities for Families" in America with Sperling's BestPlaces. McDonald's will unveil the Top 10 "Happiest Cities for Families" through a 30th birthday red carpet celebration in the "Happiest City" this July.
Parents can visit the McDonald's Web site to find information on Happy Meal choices available on the menu and birthday party planning tools. Parents also can download a Happy Birthday Party Kit including printable birthday invitations, thank you notes and customizable banners, and can test their Happy Meal knowledge through ongoing trivia questions.
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
McDonald's current Happy Meal promotion includes a toy collection of eight characters from the third installment of Twentieth Century Fox's blockbuster Ice Age trilogy, "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," in McDonald's restaurants June 19 - July 16. McDonald's customers will receive one of eight toys with the purchase of a Happy Meal at participating McDonald's restaurants, while supplies last.
