McDonald's offers Spy Gear Happy Meals

July 21, 2008

SAN FRANCISCO — Wild Planet Entertainment Inc. has announced that participating McDonald's restaurants will be offering official Spy Gear gadgets with the purchase of a Happy Meal or Mighty Kids Meal between July 25 and Aug. 14, 2008. The six new Spy Gear toys include Secret Wrist Beam, Spy Guard Motion Alarm, Spy Disc Defender, Invisible Message Pen, Rear View Spy Scope and Mobile Message Bot.

The Spy Gear Happy Meal is timed with Wild Planet's 10th anniversary of making spy toys and precedes the release of the company's first Spy Gear board games, Spy Trackdown and Spy Wire. The games will arrive in stores in late August 2008, the same time that the Spy Video ATV-360 hits shelves. The ATV-360 is a remote-controlled tank that wirelessly transmits real-time video and audio back to the driver's private headset.

About Spy Gear Happy Meal prizes:
  • Secret Wrist Beam: a wrist-mounted gadget that transforms to reveal a bright red laser-like light.
  • Spy Guard Motion Alarm: a padlock-style alarm with siren.
  • Spy Disc Defender: a hand-held disc shooter; discs are launched from a secret storage compartment beneath a flip-top lid.
  • Invisible Message Pen: a pocket-sized covert communication system with one invisible ink pen and one revealer pen.
  • Rear View Spy Scope: two tools in one — a magnification lens to see distant objects close-up, plus a pop-out mirror to monitor what's going on behind you.
  • Mobile Message Bot: a rev-and-release vehicle that automatically pops its top to reveal encrypted messages, readable only by the spy facing the device.
