McDonald's plans 150 franchised units in Russia in next three years

McDonald's plans to expand its footprint in Russia through franchising. Its initial franchisee in the market, Rosinter, plans to open its first restaurants in Moscow and St. Petersburg this year.

Additionally, the chain is planning to open at least 150 franchised restaurants in Russia throughout the next three years, according to Reuters.

Currently, McDonald's has more than 355 units in more than 85 Russian cities. Of those, 46 were opened in 2012.
