McDonald's posts strong Q1 and March sales

OAK BROOK, Ill. — McDonald's Corp. credited its breakfast menu and extended operating hours for strong same-store sales in March and the first quarter. According to a news release, March same-store sales at domestic units rose 6.6 percent, while international comps increased 5.3 percent.
For the quarter, global same-store sales rose 5.2 percent, marking McDonald's 12th consecutive quarter of positive global comparable results. Domestic units rose 6.6 percent for the quarter. The company did not report net income or revenue for the period.
