McDonald's units in Kentucky, in conjunction with a McDonald's branded trailer called the McRig, are providing free hot meals for those affected by an EF-4 tornado that ripped through the state on Dec. 10, according to a news report in the Murray Ledger & Times.

The meals include French fries, apple slices and orange juice or bottled water and are distributed from the McRig, a tractor-trailer that houses a McDonald's kitchen.

"There are so many people who are working together to help one another rebuild our community and our livelihoods," McDonald's owner/operator Michael Love Jr. told the news outlet. "As soon as we saw the extent of the devastation to our community, and those around us, we began working to bring the McRig to Mayfield to help take care of the people that mean so much to us."
