McDonald's has pulled milkshakes and some bottled drinks thanks in part to supply-chain issues at nearly 1,300 restaurant in the UK, according to a New York Post report.
"Like most retailers, we are currently experiencing some supply chain issues, impacting the availability of a small number of products. Bottled drinks and milkshakes are temporarily unavailable in restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales," a spokesperson for the fast food giant said in a statement cited by the Post. "We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank our customers for their continued patience. We are working hard to return these items to the menu as soon as possible."
The supply chain issue is impacting restaurants of all sizes given a shortage of truck drivers and other workers. QSRs have been hit hard with product shortages from chicken wings to coffee flavorings.
