McDonald's pushes DoorDash with 1M 1-cent Big Macs

DoorDash and McDonald's are giving customers a million 1-cent Big Macs and $1 million in cash to celebrate the partnership of the the two companies, which now provides delivery from 9,300 stores nationwide, a news release said.  

From now through Oct. 4, the penny burgers (plus fees) can be had with the promo code 1MBIGMAC, when ordering McDonald's food through the third-party delivery provider. All customers who take the chain up on that offer are also automatically entered to win $1 million.

By the end of this year, McDelivery will grow to more than 10,000 restaurants nationwide, through the chain's DoorDash connection. That coverage encompasses more than 70% of McDonald's U.S. system.

"Since rolling out our national partnership with McDonald's in July, we've been blown away by the excitement and demand from our customers," DoorDash Vice President of Business Development Toby Espinosa, said in the release. "When thinking of how we could celebrate the nationwide rollout of McDelivery through DoorDash, we knew we had to go big. We're so excited to offer 1 million customers a 1 cent Big Mac and a chance to win $1 million."

At the end of the promotion, one participant in the penny burger promotion will win the cool million in cash, giving them their very own set of Golden Arches or just about anything else they desire, for that matter.
