McDonald's sales growth to slow in Latin America
March 26, 2009
Bloomberg: McDonald's sales growth in Latin America will slow this year due to the recession, said Woods Staton, CEO of Buenos Aires-based Arcos Dorados SA, owner and operator of all McDonald's 1,750 Latin American units.
Staton was optimistic of a sales increase of 5 percent this year, compared to a record increase of 26 percent last year to more than $3.5 billion. Arcos plans to open about 150 new restaurants this year in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela.
