McDonald's sells high-fashion gloves via Twitter

September 14, 2009

McDonald's is selling pairs of designer gloves fashioned after the yellow ones worn by its famous brand icon, but they aren't found in any restaurants, according to a story by Advertising Age.

McDonald's sponsored designer Duckie Brown during the recent New York Fashion Week, and the designer crafted the gloves in honor of the 35th anniversary of Ronald McDonald House Charities. The gloves sell for $50 a pair and are available only by tweeting @McCafeYourDay on Twitter. Proceeds benefit the charity.
