McDonald's sharpens focus on Quarter Pounder, moves away from Signature Crafted

McDonald's said customer feedback and a move toward more menu simplification has prompted the chain to "move away" from its Signature Crafted Recipes offerings, according to CNN. The brand said that the more labor-intensive sandwiches, like the Signature Crafted mushroom-and-swiss burger will take a back seat to items like the brand's Quarter Pounder, the report said. 

Recently, McDonald's has added additional versions of the Quarter Pounder that add bacon, as well as lettuce and tomato. Also in recent months, the chain has added to its breakfast menu, with a new breakfast sandwich late last year and the addition of Donut Sticks two months ago.
