McDonald's to add its CosMc's drinks to regular menus

McDonald's will add its spinoff CosMc's drinks to its regular menu, according to its CEO Chris Kempczinski. During a Q1 earnings call, the Chicago-based burger brand said it would work with franchisees to bring a handful of its gourmet drinks to its traditional stores, according to a Parade report.

The company said its most popular drink was the Fruity Popping Boba. CosMc's also serves up lattes, frappes, chi, slushes and more.

"It's part of why we set up beverages as one of our key three category structures — just because of the opportunity that we saw there," Kempczinski said in in the call.

No date has been given for the menu moves, but the exec said this year.
