McDonald's to add plant-based nuggets to menu in Germany

McDonald's is adding another plant-based product to its line, but this time in Germany. McPlant Nuggets will roll out to 1,400 German outlets next week, according to an AP report.

The nuggets will be made in partnership with Beyond Meat. McDonald's has had a Beyond Meat McPlant burger since 2021, but a test of the item ended without the burger being added to McDonald's menus in the U.S.

The McPlant burger, currently found in several U.K. companies will also launch in Germany next week.

The Chicago-based burger chain tested the McPlant Nuggets in the Stuttgart area of Germany last August.
