McDonald's confirmed that it's closing its former flagship location at Times Square West 42nd St., in New York City, telling the New York Post it was "a difficult decision" bun unrelated to the pandemic.
The company said it regularly reviewed its restaurant holdings to make good business decisions going forward and the store was a casualty of that review process, according to a statement released to the New York Post
The 17-year-old store, which had a Broadway theater-style facade with marquee lights, will close Tuesday. It had been a flagship store for the city, until last year when McDonald's opened a location at 1530 Broadway.
