National marketing for McDonald's new Angus Deluxe, the company's first burger launch since 2001, will begin Aug. 4, according to a story in Advertising Age. DDB Chicago, the company's creative agency, has worked to create an edgy ad with a "rules to live by" theme. DDB said the company has ordered different creative for each of its major marketing segments: a focus on flavor for the African-American market, on topping for the Asian market and on the three ways Angus can be ordered for the general market.
