McDonald's to serve its first organic burger

Germans will be able to try McDonald's organic-beef burger Oct. 1.

McDonald's will release its first 100-percent organic-beef burger this week in Germany, the Huffinton Post reports.

The "McB," as the new burger is called, will be available in 1,500 McDonald's in Germany, beginning Oct. 1. On Oct. 26, McDonald's unveils the "Long McB" burger, another burger made with 100-percent organic beef.

The beef comes from organic farms in Germany and Austria, the article stated. In announcing the debut of organic beef, McDonald's said the suppliers and all its franchises in Germany "have been subjected to elaborate certification procedures by state-approved organic inspection bodies."
