McDonald's to test Krispy Kreme sales at 9 restaurants

Nine McDonald's restaurants in the Louisville, Kentucky, market will sell Krispy Kreme donuts beginning Oct. 26. The restaurants will sell original glazed, iced chocolate with rainbow sprinkles and raspberry jelly filled doughnuts individually and in six packs, according to a McDonald's press release.
The doughnuts will be delivered to the nine stores fresh daily for a limited trial.
"McDonald's is always looking for ways to give our fans more of what they crave, and we often conduct tests to inform future menu decisions. This small-scale test will help us understand how offering new bakery items like Krispy Kreme could impact operations in our restaurants," the press release read.
