McDonald's, WFAN celebrate third annual football contest

September 13, 2010

McDonald's Tri-State Area restaurants - including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut - and WFAN have announced they are joining forces once again for "McDonald's Monday Morning Quarterback." Starting Sept. 14, listeners who call into "Boomer and Carton in the Morning" every Monday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. during the football season and offer their thoughts about the weekend's Giants or Jets games will be named “McDonald’s Monday Morning Quarterback.”

In addition, the winner will also receive a $100 American Express gift card. At the conclusion of this 17-week program, each winner will be entered in a drawing for the grand prize, a trip to the "Big Game Weekend" in Dallas.

"For the third year in a row, McDonald's is excited to team up with WFAN and two great sports broadcasting personalities, Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton, for 'McDonald's Monday Morning Quarterback," said Paul Hendel, president of the McDonald's New York Tri-State Area Owners/Operator Association. "McDonald's breakfast is the perfect companion to jumpstart the Monday morning ritual of dishing over the previous night's football games."

To promote the program, McDonald’s and the personalities of the radio show, Boomer and Carton, will host a breakfast party at the McDonald’s store located at 541 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan on Sept. 16 at 10:30 a.m. The first 50 fans at the breakfast party will receive a free McDonald's breakfast sandwich and a cup of Premium Roast Coffee.
