McDonald's worker averts kidnapping attempt

The Olympian: A counter worker at an Olympia, Wash., McDonald's pulled an 8-year-old girl over the counter and out of the grasp of a man who was trying to force her to leave with him. She said the girl did not appear to know the man or want to leave with him. She also pulled the girl's 12-year-old brother to safety.
 
The man was later arrested and jailed on charges of second-degree kidnapping.
 
The children had been waiting in the restaurant for their mother, who had been delayed by snow and had told the children to wait for her there.
